Supply and installation of earth grid systems for 12 x Pole Substations each with up to 10 x 5m-to-15m electrodes. The substations were remotely located around Bathurst in the NSW Central Tablelands.

The project had a tight timeframe with the client requiring all 12 substations to be completed in just eight days. The overhead transmission lines were single-wire-earth-return (SWER) and generators were installed to maintain power to customers during the works.

Challenge: The substations were remotely located and the majority of installations were in rock adding to the difficulty of the project.

Result: The project was successfully completed on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
