Supply and installation of 20 x 3.6m electrodes including non destructive excavation, Cadweld connections and 3 pole FOP and doctor testing.

Challenge: This project had to be completed within a very tight time frame due to the restrictions of working with a live substation. Earthing Solutions had a possession weekend with coordinated de-energisations for installing all 20 electrodes and undertaking the associated works.

Earthing Solutions employed a non-destructive vacuum equipment for excavating the existing buried earth grid. All connections on the existing earth grid and the Cadweld connections were ductor tested.

Result: The project was completed within the tight timeframe and the client was more than happy with the outcome.
