Supply and installation of earth grid for new upgraded transformer including:

• 120mm2 bare c/u grading ring
• 120mm2 green/yellow insulated connections
• 4 x 5m-deep earth electrodes

Earthing Solutions used a concrete saw to cut along the existing service location to install the earth grid in the existing concrete structure. We undertook current injection testing and prepared a detailed report prior to the new transformer being energised.

Challenge: The work was carried out in the vicinity of an existing live substation requiring additional care to ensure on site safety.

Result: The project was successfully completed to the design requirements and the step-touch potential recommendations.
