Earthing Solutions was contracted to work in the rail corridor at Marrickville for Sydney Metro’s upgrade of the line between Sydenham and Bankstown. The work involved drilling and installing 7 x deep electrodes.

Challenge: The site was narrow and difficult to access. All machinery had to be floated in on high rail equipment and unloaded and reloaded at each location.

All staff needed Rail Industry Worker (RIW) training as well as further inductions and certification for the project. The work had to be carried out under strict COVID-19 protocols.

Result: With precise planning and tight coordination the works were completed on a single possession weekend.

The project was completed to the client’s satisfaction, highlighting the experience and capability of the Earthing Solutions’ team.
