Scope of project:Supplied and installed lightning masts and down conductors for Sydney Water’s Picton Project including: •12 x 1m copper lightning masts attached to Colorbond roofing and structures •25mm x 3mm tinned copper down conductors, test links and connections to electrodes. Challenge: Access to the area was tight and an elevated work platform (EWP) was employed to install the down conductors and lightning masts. Configuring and installing the down conductors required high skill levels due to the various building configurations. The project was carried out in tight access conditions, EWP was also used to install the down conductors and lightning masts, due to the various building configurations the installation required high skill levels to configure and install the down conductors, safety was a high priority and the project was completed without incident. Result: As always safety was a high priority, and the project was completed without incident to the client’s design requirements and satisfaction.
