In May 2025, Earthing Solutions underwent an annual surveillance audit for Transport for NSW (TfNSW) to maintain status as a Technically Assured Organisation (TAO) for the material procurement, construction and installation of earthing, bonding, electrolysis and lightning protection for heavy rail network projects.
Earthing Solutions Director, David Gale said, “Earthing Solutions satisfied all the TAO authorisation requirements and succeeded in maintaining TAO certification. While we are required to have TAO status to provide services Transport for NSW in the heavy rail network, we are proud we can offer this additional confidence to all our valued customers.”
David said, “Earthing Solutions first gained status as an Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) to supply and install earthing and lightning protection for heavy rail projects in 2020. To achieve AEO status, we had to demonstrate our technical capability, systems capability, competency systems and commitment to safety and quality. In 2022, the AEO framework was replaced by the TAO scheme, and we were transitioned to the new scheme.”
“Since becoming certified with Transport for NSW, we have successfully delivered a range of earthing services in the heavy rail network including aerial pole earthing in the Hawkesbury, overhead switch earthing at Mount Victoria, earthing and bonding at the Sydney Metro Bankstown Station, and earthing upgrades at other Sydney Trains’ sites.”
“Earthing Solutions is well equipped to meet the challenges of working in the heavy rail network with rigorous safety procedures, meticulous scheduling, skilled and experienced personnel, and powerful compact equipment for difficult-to-access areas.”
